If you want to join the optional tours below, please make sure of the conditions on the program and make a reservation on our website, www.APOAsp.org. In case you do not have any internet access, please contact the Accommodation & Tour bureau. (Exchange rate as of February 11: USD 1 = KRW 942.10)
 
 
Notes
- Reservations should be made before May 10 for efficient arrangement.
- Any person who wishes to participate in these tour programs would be required to pay for
  them separately, without any reference to the registration fee.
- Your credit card information is required to guarantee your tour reservation.
  Post tour should be paid till May 15. Payments for OT, ST should be made at least 2 days before your tour date at the ¡¯Hotel & Tour desk¡¯ during the congress in Ramada Plaza Jeju Hotel.

Jeju Stone Curture Park has been created with stones, soil, trees,
iron and water. The main theme consists of the legend about Grand
mother Seolmundae who created Jeju Island and the stones of
the Five Hundred Generals. Jeju Sone Park will be formed to be a
park where visitors will be able to see and experience the Jeju stone
culture and history of the Jeju people.

Sangumburi is a crater with a circumference of over 2 km, designated as Natural Monument.  It is located on the southeast side of Jeju-si, and is a flat crater, about 650 meters wide, 100 meters deep, and 2,070 meters in circumference.  If you look at the crater from above up, it looks like a man-made circular stadium.  There is a variety of plant-life in the crater.

Teddy Bear Museum exhibits everything about Teddy Bears. You can also enjoy yourself at the museum shop, cafe, and restaurant. At the History Hall, you can see the 100- year history of teddy bears. The Mona Lisa teddy bear will especially catch your eyes. At the Art Hall are the latest artworks of world¡¯s famous designers and you will also find animation characters.

Jeju Folk Village Museum Folk culture of a nation is the spirit of its people. It transforms and adapts to the age and environment and is transmitted through generations. Its elements and characteristics are added or partially or even wholly omitted as time goes by. In that, folk culture is specific lifestyle and fundamental culture containing the spirit and ideas of the people.

Seopjikoji is located at the end of the eastern shore of Jeju-do Island. "Seopji" is the old name for the area, and "Koji" is Jeju dialect meaning a sudden bump on land. There are stonewalls along the road to block the wind on the way to the lighthouse at the end of Seopjikoji. Going up the metal steps of the lighthouse, you can view the whole seashore at a glance

Yongmeori Cliff A scenic promontory, with small caves and huge rock walls sculpted by strong waves at the foot of Mt.Sanbang. Nearby are Mt.Sanbang, Hwasun Beach and Jeju Sculpture Park. In summer, swimming and water sports can be enjoyed. You will marvel at the rocky hill that is shaped like the head of a dragon entering entering into the waters.

Songaksan which is 104 meters above sea level is located at the southern tip of Jeju-do, three sides of Mt. Songaksan are coastal precipices producing a beautiful backdrop. Furthermore Mt. Songaksan attracts visitors who enjoy a peaceful ambience. You can even see Mara-do Island and Gapa-do Island located off the southernmost tip of Jeju-do. Also, locals of Jeju-do pick Mt. Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak rose from under the sea in a volcanic eruption about 100,000 years ago. Located on the eastern end of Jeju Island, there is a huge crater at the top. The crater is about 600m in diameter and 90m high. With the 99 sharp rocks surrounding the crater, it looks like a gigantic crown. The sunrise from the crater is magnificent.

Udo Island the name came from its shape that resembles a cow lying on the grass. The scenic hill, which would be the back of the cow, is one of the ¡°Udo-palkyung¡± (Eight Scenic Spots of Udo). Udo Island takes 15 minutes from Seongsan port by transportation ship

This garden displays a thousand artistic works of wood, five thousand works of stone in the image of human heads, and one hundred other works in stone. Most of the wood collections were made from the roots of Jorok namu, which grows in the subtropical forest zone on Halla-San. The stones and trees here are living and have their own tales. As you look around the park, you can feel the strength and liveliness of the Jeju people. The garden itself was designated a Protected Area in 1977.

As Korea first miniature theme park, it exhibits an extensive collection of world-famous architecture and cultural properties reduced to 1/20¡­1/25th in scale. Each landmark has been carefully selected and elaborately manufactured. About 100 miniatures of noted places all over the world are on display in the 66,000 square meter venue. You can take a trip back in time and feel the romance of the West and the mystery of the East. Everyone is invited to this world where you can get a view of the whole world at one glance.

Hallim Park is strongly scented with exotic sentiment. The plants are divided into 16 sectors including the Tropical Botanical Garden, Washingtonia Palm Garden, Foliage Plant Garden, Palm Tree Garden, and Kiwi Fruit Garden and also Hyeopjae Cave and Ssangyong Caveare famous place

Geumneung Seogmulwon(Stone Garden) Jeju is called Samda-do as it is abundant in stone, wind and women. Jeju rocks are everywhere but it is banned to take them out of Jeju Island. Master Jang Gong Ik, who has made stone grandfather for 40 years sculpted the lives of Jeju with stone and they are on display in Stone Park arranged on the site of 10,000 pyeong

Hyeopjae Beach is located on the west side of Hanrim-eup, and is part of the Hanrim Park. Its white sand has a lot of fine seashell power mixed into it, and just off the beach is Biyangdo Island. The long seashore is 9 km long and has evergreen forests and cobalt color sea water scattered here and there, making the scenery very beautiful. The white sandy beach is about 20 meters long, and its water is 1.2 m deep with no sudden drops.

Most of Jeju Island's horseback riding tracks are located halfway up a mountain. Jeju Island has 20 tracks for anyone to enjoy. All the horses are well-trained and there are stablemen to help guide despite its small size, Jeju Island's 'Jorang' horse (designated as natural monument no. 347) is strong and gentle enough for children and elders to ride.

Haenyeo refers to female divers who dive into the ocean water to gather various shellfish, seaweeds, etc, without using any underwater diving equipment. The Jeju Haenyeo Museum exhibits various photos of haenyeo female divers and their activities to provide an accurate picture of their lives. It also has an observatory from where visitors can see an excellent view of the Hado-ri area, which has a garden with various sculptures and a resting area.

Gyeongbok Palace is built in the late 14th century by the founder of the Joson Dynasty. There are the majestic edifice, Geunjeongjeon, the spacious 2-story pavilion, ¡°Gyeongheoru¡± and nestled in the middle of lotus pond, ¡°Hyangwonjeong¡±

Dongdaemoon Market Ever since its opening in 1905, Dongdaemun market has been one of the major markets in Korea. Specializing in wholesale clothing, the market has grown large, having more than 20 shopping malls. A full range of fashion items that cover from head to toe, are found in Dongdaemun market at inexpensive prices.
Namsangol Traditional Village In order to recreate the beauty of the ancient times, a traditional Korean garden, through which flows a stream, with a pavilion in the woods were constructed. Five traditional Korean houses, including houses of commoners, and the residences of high government officials- owners of the eight largest mansions in Seoul- were moved onto a 7,934 square-meter.

Bulguksa Temple The Temple of the Buddha Land, nestles in the western foothills of Mt. Tohamsan in Gyeongju City. Construction of Bulguksa was started under the supervision of Prime Minister Gim Dae-seong in 751 in the reign King Gyeongdeok of the Unified Silla Kingdom.

Seokguram Grotto is tucked away near the summit of Mt. Tohamsan on its secluded eastern slope. This man-made grotto was assembled from hundreds of white granite pieces of diverse sizes and shapes. It consists of a rectangular antechamber symbolizing the earth, a corridor acting as a conduit between earth and heaven, and a main rotunda with a domed ceiling representing heaven.

Gyeongju National Museum One can get a complete view of the Silla Dynasty at a glance. In an effort to restore the splendid cultural heritage and spirit of arts, the wishes of the citizens of Gyeongju were realized with the opening of the museum in Inwang-dong in 1975. The museum contains 100,000 pieces of valuable relics recovered in and around Gyeongju.
Tumuli Park Large ancient tombs of kings and noblemen of the Silla Dynasty can be seen around Gyeongju at the Daereung-won Tumuli Park. There are twenty-three large tombs located here; the most famous ancient tomb being Cheonmachong and Hwangnamdaechong. There are 11,526 remains and crowns of the king inside the tomb demonstrating the lavish lifestyle of the king.
Cheomseongdae Observatory is the oldest existing astronomical observatory in Asia. Constructed during the reign of Queen Seon-deok (632-647), it was used for observing the stars in order to forecast the weather. This stone structure is a beautiful combination of straight lines and curves, and was designated as National Treasure No.31 in 1962.
Anapji Pond During the 14th year of King Munmu¡¯s reign (AD 661~681) in the Silla period, a large pond was dug and small mountains were built all within the palace walls. Additionally, beautiful flowers were planted and rare animals were brought in to create an exquisite garden environment.
